Annemarie Clostermann was born in Hagen / Westphalia in 1956. After taking violin and piano lessons at an early age, she began studying church music while still at school, which led to the C-exam in 1972. After graduating from high school in 1976, she studied musicology, theater studies and German at the Philosophical Faculty of the University of Cologne and graduated in 1982 with a Magister Artium. The doctorate to Dr. phil. took place in 1985.
By fulfilling a research assignment on the music history of Hamburg in the 18th century, numerous lectures and publications, and as editor of the series Hamburg Telemann ArchiveAnnemarie Clostermann has become a specialist in life and work in Hamburg Georg Philipp Telemanns expelled. Her book was self-published in 2000 Hamburg's musical life and Georg Philipp Telemann's work between 1721 and 1730.

In 2011 she was in charge of the exhibition as curator Telemann in Hamburg 1721-1767in the Rathausdiele Hamburg.

Annemarie Clostermann was born 1956 in Hagen/Westfalen (Germany). After early exercises in playing violin and piano she just started studying church-/religious music, which ended in 1972 with C-examination. After Abitur in 1976 she was studying musicology, theatre studies, and German studies at the “Philosophische Fakultät der Universität Köln” (simple trsl.: university for philosophy, colon), which ended with Magister Artium. The obtaining to doctoration - titled with Dr. phil. - then was done in 1985.
 
In proceeding with a research assignment about the history of music in Hamburg in the 18th century, many lectures and publications, also as editor of the series Hamburger Telemann-Archiv (trsl.: archives of Hamburg about Telemann), Annemarie Clostermann became a respected expert with knowledge about live of Georg Philipp Telemann and his period while he was working in Hamburg. By self-publishing her book Das Hamburger Musikleben und Georg Philipp Telemanns Wirken in den Jahren 1721 bis 1730 (trsl.: Music Life of Hamburg and work of Georg Philipp Telemann between the years 1721 and 1730) was edited in the year 2000. 

In the year 2011 she was curator of the exhibition Telemann in Hamburg 1721-1767 at lounge of town hall Hamburg.
